Beginner Crochet Course

The sessions are designed for absolute beginners so we will be starting with the basics like yarn types, crochet terminology, tension, and simple crochet stitches, and hopefully by the end of it you will be able to make your own projects!

We will be holding sessions in the wonderful workshop space at Rock, Paper, Scissors in Canterbury. All materials will be provided, including tea and coffee making facilities in the studio. There will also be an option to buy materials during the class to take home for an additional cost, but this is not essential for doing the course.

You will learn:

  • Different yarn types
  • How to read yarn labels
  • How to deal with tension
  • What materials you will need to get started
  • Where to buy supplies from (both local and online)
  • Yarn holding techniques
  • Basic stitches
